when they find Lindsey in the park

I don't get what's going on. In her confrontation with Michael, not very much happens. He attempts to strangle her then gives her a toss, after which she goes for a light jog. Yet when they find her, she seems like she's paralyzed, and she's muddy and pale and appears to have a few blood traces on her. I guess I just don't know why that merits a visit to the hospital, other than safety in numbers. Seems like going home and having a shower and some tea would do the trick.

Fanatical women need to be hospitalized, it's in the handbook.

Oh, hysterical. Next you’ll tell me that hospitals have their own wing for that sort of thing!
