Wtf was up with that? why was Michael stabbing this guy with every knife in the kitchen after he's already been dead for like 5 minutes? The womans laying there and Michael just keeps picking up knifes and stabbing this dead body over and over again in the most robotic motion i've ever seen.
He's never done that before ever, made absolutely no sense that he did that.
In the theater I thought it was kind of silly and pointless but later on I thought maybe I liked it a little.
I’m fine with him showing new behavior. In this timeline we only have two other films to go off anyway but I just wonder what the motivation is, if any? Maybe they just thought it would be shocking?
Well going by that logic you may as well be ok with him jumping around and acting like a monkey and shitting in someone's living room, cause hey he's nuts so lets excuse it.
Sure he does some weird stuff in the original, like placing bodies around to be found and disguised himself as a ghost, but he's never done nothing as pointless as stabbing a dead corpse over and over again, when he kills someone he's done with them. In any other Halloween movie have you ever seen Myers continue to stab a body after he's already killed the person? no he's never done it.
Had he stabbed Bob over and over again after stabbing him to the wall in the original i'd be ok with this scene in Halloween Kills cause it would be consistent with the character.
It was just them trying to be brutal for the sake of being brutal, made no sense for the character but they had him do it just to be brutal and look violent.
Well if he is using the bodies to scare or creep people out maybe the stabbing is intended to do that as well. He did look at bob on the wall for a little bit. As for the shitting in someones living room, I think that would be inappropriate. There's also a difference between the violent insanity Michael might have and the playing with ones own shit kind of insanity.
I honestly thought it was just to show his complete lack of any emotion. Like a cat playing with a mouse when killing it. He's just brutal and evil incarnate. It's not supposed to make sense.
