Enough is enough!

Halloween was a masterpiece and Season of the Witch was a solid film too but I just finished watching this and it's just become a parody of itself now. The best parts were the throwbacks to the original which captured the feel. Jamie Lee Curtis has barely any screen time and looks tired. I'm a fan but enough already....

Enough with people saying Season of the Witch is a good film. It's goofy crap and fans think because it's obscure in the franchise it must be a gem. It is sh*t, I like the idea of non-related Halloween films but the reason Season of the Witch didn't spawn more sequels in the series which had no relation to Myers is because the film sucked.

I was a teenager and loved goofy crap. You're entitled to your opinion. It's good to have differing opinions. I enjoyed it and still do. Happy Christmas.

I liked it too. That Silver Shamrock tune makes my blood freeze.

Another vote for Season of the Witch. Atmospheric and a true horror film. Probably the best of the Halloween flicks.

In cinema the terms "Michael Myers" and "Halloween" are inseparable. You can't think of one without thinking of the other. And you're saying that the best of the Halloween series is the one movie without Michael Myers? The movie who had no business being there? The movie that should have been a standalone?

It's alright to say you preferred Season of the Witch to any of the Halloween movies (personally I hated it, but to each his own). But to call this intruder one of the Halloween flicks is a sacrilege.

AT BEST, if I push it to the extreme, it's a spinoff that's been squeezed in the franchise for whatever reason by the producers. And even there... I don't think there's enough material in it to call it a spinoff. Maybe someone could tell us? Because I know I'm not watching this movie again to find out.

I totally agree, it’s not the lost classic that everyone proclaims it to be. It’s okay at best, and that’s being pretty kind tbh.

Beyond a lack of screen time, she and Michael share zero scenes. This is clearly intentional, keep them apart until the next one. But still, seems criminal.

"it's just become a parody of itself now."

The best way I could ever word it !

Halloween 2018 was decent. I was expecting Halloween Kills to build up the tension nicely to prepare the ground for "Ends". But let me tell you that after that fiasco, I'm more than worried.

I did, however, like that they also brought back Kyle Richards and Nancy Stephens who played in the original Halloween in 78. The reenactment of the scene in the car with Marion inside and Michael on top of the car breaking the window, by the same actors, more than 40 years later was a super nice touch. Really cool. But 3/4 of the movie is just plain bad.

I really hope that Halloween Ends is able to somehow salvage everything but I'm not betting a lot on that...

It's definitely a parody, I laughed more than on Scary Movie films.

I'd say that the original was a masterpiece, the sequel was very good, and Season of the Witch was goofy sci-horror fun.
