The problem is.....

everyone knows it's gonna end with him being "dead" and then be still alive to set up a third film. That's the problem with these films now. Hey I'll probably still watch it but they really need to start taking some risks and doing something interesting.

Surely I'm not the only one tired of Laurie's "I'm gonna turn the table on you Michael" stuff? That's as worn out now as the original movie's "damsel in distress" thing.

Maybe theyll surprise us

There was absolutely no point in bringing JLC back if they were going to discard the brother and sister angle, they turned Laurie into an awful and over the top unrealistic character which isn't necessary to the plot anymore, it's funny because everyone now thinks that the siblings angle was dumb and gave Michael a reason but now they're giving us the same tiring storyline of Michael trying to kill Laurie and her offspring but with no reason, coming up with dumb ideas to have them reunited.

Yeah, I agree. The 2018 film would have made more sense with the “Laurie going commando” plot line if they had still acknowledged the previous sequels since it doesn’t make sense for someone to go that crazy after just one small incident in 1978 (and not the later events the film retcons) and saying that Michael was captured immediately afterwards. They could have just said that Michael disappeared after Halloween 1978 which could make a little more sense as to why Laurie was the way she is in 2018.

They seem to think Laurie Strode is the big selling point for Halloween films. I do not know one person who is excited to see Laurie Strode on the big screen another two times. I'd be fine with her if it was just the 2018 film, but no more. They really are dragging the films down connecting them to one of Myers' victims.
