Isn't Provençal stranger than Chti?

I visited both the "Nord" (Departement) and the Provence and the local language is much more different from regular French in the south. The lead character of this comedy comes from Salon-de-Provence. In the worst case he couldn't even understand French.

You may be right, but the whole comedy is not just about a dialect very difficult to understand.
