So there were two different monsters? (along with the spiders)

I noticed two monsters. The main monster just looked like some sort of giant demon. And the second monster basically looked like a giant crab of some sort. And let's not forget about the spiders...

No there was not. There was only one giant monster.

How can you be so sure?

I went on Neville Page's website. He designed Cloverfield and there is only one design for the monster. JJ Abrams and others have said there was only one monster and there is nothing in the movie to make think there was more than one. If there was more than one there is no valid reason to keep it a secret.

Well, you know, except for all the little ones that dropped off the big one. So there's evidence, right there on the screen, that there is more than one monster. So anyone saying otherwise is lying.

WORDS MEAN THINGS! Also, before you come to bitch about a plot hole, rewatch the show/movie.

Regardless, I still think there are two different monsters. Because there's this one scene, where it looks like a giant crab stomping through the streets. And then there's that giant demon looking monster (the one that smashes the helicopter out of the sky) - If you closely watch the movie, you'll see what I'm talking about. Even if it is the same monster, it certainly looks vastly different at times. I'm still going with my original observation = one giant demon and a giant crab. lol

You are certainly free to think as you like and see things as you do! I'll never argue against that!

Put down the shrooms for just a second and watch the film sober. There is 1 monster... O-N-E.... the "spiders" are parasites that fall off the monster. Idk wtf you are talking about a Demon looking thing. I've watched this movie well over 30 times and followed the viral marketing for this film and 10 Cloverfield lane. There is 1 monster.
