Cool theory that could connect 10 Cloverfield Lane

This is probably not true, but it would be crazy if Michelle from 10 Cloverfield Lane is related to Marlena. I was watching Cloverfield recently and couldn't help but notice how they look so similar.

I just got done watching this for the first time and their resemblance made me think that it's not a coincidence, so that'd be pretty cool if that were true

They could be sisters? but do we even know if these events take place at the same time or even the same dimension.
