What an incredibly stupid final episode

Not one mention of it being a vampire rather than an angel in the entire show. At least one conversation where they debate the idea would make sense.
No places to hide? REALLY? there are many many ways to shelter from the sun for a few hours.
No boats and they are trapped? They are just 30 miles from mainland, just grab to any piece of wood and float.
Even if SOME repented and choose to die rather than live like that, not everyone would and someone like Bev would NEVER just stay there to die and only starting to dig a hole 1 second before sunrise. Did she really just though of digging a hole then?
Ther than that it is not not a bad show, it just had a really weak ending.
