shareThe problem with this is that if the characters have read Salem’s Lot and know about vampires then surely they’d be talking about vampires as soon as they cottoned on to what was happening.
You can have a fictional world where vampire lore doesn’t exist but the moment you reveal Salem’s Lot on the main character’s shelf you’ve punctured that illusion.
Flanagan’s a good horror director but that was a dumb move.
