This might have nothing on the show Rome and not even in the same ballpark as Gladiator but I'm amused by how every time people haggle on this show it's like the opposite of how a typical haggle works:
"I'll give you 2,000!"
"I'll counter offer with 1,500."
"3,000!"
"Done."
