great show but i have a question

this show is hilarious.
however, what do the celebrities think they're participating in when they're asked to be on the show? do they think it's a real radio station or what?

reply

I was wondering the same thing... it seems like they don't, but they are actors.

reply

well it's obvious that the interviews are real. my only question is what do they tell the celebrities before they come on the show?

reply

First off, this show could be funny if they would get rid of Krall who thinks he is the next Gervais but should definitely stay off the camera with his obnoxious personality and voice. Secondly the actors are ACTING, I know its a novel concept.

reply

Krall is the only reason I watch.

reply

Without Krall, it's just another boring, run of the mill workplace sitcom.

blgstocks is a douchebag. Lance makes the show! This is good TV

reply

Get rid of Lance? He IS the show.

reply

What the hell are you talking about, Krall is the only reason I watch the show.

reply

I get a Space Ghost kind of vibe from it.

reply

The actors are in on it.

reply

I think some are in on it, like the cast from Mad TV. In fact they had a sub-story "off air". But some are not, like Jack Coleman from "Heroes" and Kiefer Sutherland. Again, that is just my guess and I had been wondering the same thing. And, in my opinion, Krall is a genius!

reply

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. The Mad TV cast was definitely "in on it" but the Kiefer interview and the Luis Guzman seemed genuine. When he told Luis that he was the guy from Ghost I couldn't stop laughing. Very funny show.

reply

I assumed the actors weren't in on it (except the Mad TV people) but it's hard to believe that Angela Kinsey wouldn't know who he is when he's appeared on an episode of The Office. It's hard to tell. I guess I'd rather not find out. That's part of the fun.

reply

its a sit-com ....

the celbs on it ... are on the show just like if they were playing themselfd on friends ....

reply

it's supposed to seem like a real interview so obviously it's going to seem like they're not in on it...the show is improvised as well...

all of the people on the show are "in on it"...

yea i think its kind of like the colbert report but not really. cuz before colbert's guest appear on the show he meets w/ them and explains to them that he's gonna be in character (cuz on the colbert report he plays a character not himself)wen interviewing his guest. mayb it like that but on free radio they improvise and script/work out a few parts here and there w/ the guest for the show.

Obviously the interview parts which are the funniest are the celebrities coming in and they all do it because it plugs something in the interviews for the celebs always. Then im sure krall before "goes you know this is a show, we *beep* around in the interviews play along"---but i don't think they tell them like the questions or there's a specific script because most of the responses are usually pretty amazed at lance's comments but find them funny because they know he's purposely being a jackass. funny show for sure, wish the interview parts were longer

reply

all of you are a bunch of *beep* idiots. of course they're in on it. how stupid can you be?
