They should have marketing it as "Snow: Origin" movie. As it really is His story

Trailers and marketing make it seem like it's her "poor mans Katniss" movie. Or their equal. Or new Hunger Games adventures. And Rachel Zegler being more famous than male actor. That's why they pushed her on promotion.

While in reality it's HIS movie. And Games and her are just side characters in his Origin story.

Everything we see is from his perspective. We don't even know her backstory and what she thinks and does. As we never even see her alone. We see her through his eyes and only when he encounters her. That's why we dont even know what happened to her when she leaves cabin, goes away. Because he never saw that. And he doesn't know what she thinks and what and why she did it. All he knows is that she left him in weird way and betrayed. So he returned to his work and his life.

Great job for casting director for picking up actor that was charismatic and interesting. Movie could be boring and bad if not the right actor would be chosen. But he was actually very good. And portrayed young Snow the way he was - not evil and not particular good. Just ordinary person. He had his teen crush. And then she betrayed him after all he did for her and he wasn't into love things anymore and put that behind him and focused on work.

That's why I was so pleasantly surprised. Like oh, this is actually a Snow movie. Like the girl barely matters in the scope of things. And the Hunger Games is really about the nature of life and the dog eat dog real world and not the games themselves. And everything was toned down and more realistic and relatable. I really just enjoyed this whole movie all around. Agreed about the actor. He was just terrific. Really did the "quiet intensity" thing quite well.
