Who Should Play FLINT in G.I. Joe 2

Flint is in the script for G.I. Joe 2.

So the question is... who should play Duke's rival? Since Duke has been sissified by Channing Tatum... We need a real action hero to play Flint.

Mark Wahlberg? Michael Biehn? Vin Diesel? Thomas Jane?

reply

Mark Wahlberg? Vin Diesel? Seriously? They're as bad as Channing. And as much as I like Biehn he won't be cast as Flint because of his age. Maybe as Hawk or something like that.

Jane on the other hand could pull it off. Aaron Eckhart was a badass in Battle:L.A and they kinda look alike too. But since the director will be the same one from Step Up 2 and 3, and we already got Channing, we'll probably get another dancer to play Flint.

When I first heard they were making a GI JOE movie I had Jeremy Renner in mind to play Duke. Maybe we can still have him as Flint.

reply

I think Renner is pretty tied up with Avengers and Bourne.

I wouldn't mind a fresh face to play Flint as long as he spoke well (aka not Channing's wanabe thuggish southern urban voice)

Bruce Campbell

Jeremy Renner? Mark Wahlberg? You guys are being a bit ambitious. It will probably be some nobody.

reply

It won't be a total unknown but it definitely won't be some A List actor. Probably someone on a TV show who's trying to transition into movies.

reply

I like the idea of Thomas Jane as Flint. They should definitely snag him since he got dropped from Head Shot.

DJ Cotrona got the role. Here is a clip of him speaking:

He seems like a modest, down to earth, likeable guy. I have hope he will portray Flint with intensity and in a manly fashion. Unlike Channing butchuring Duke with his thuggish, "yeahhhh boyyyy" personality.

DJ Controna? What about DJ Qualls?!

Brendon Frazer would have been good in the role if he played it seriously.

Ohhh, a lesson in not changing history from "I'm my own grandpa".

Adrian Paul from Highlander
