Celtic
Celtic?! Celtic?! Really I ask you! Gaelic at a push but even so there is no old Gaelic word translating to laser!
*Every time you call me a girls name i die a little inside*

Couldn't agree more.
Even in a script as inane as this, that line stood out as warranting a massive groan from the audience.
It was "fire", not "laser". Pay attention next time before you post something that makes you look like you didn't watch the movie.
However, you were correct in your criticism of the term "celtic". The screenwriters really showed their ignorance with that line.
"I'm gonna kill him, rape him, and eat his costume!"
yep it is the Scottish Gaelic word for fire, but as far as i know (which isnt that much) 'teine' only means the burning type of fire. they could have used 'loisg', which is a verb form of shoot used for guns. im not a native speaker though, just someone learnin.
and yeah totally agree that it was pretty bad to call it Celtic. it is a Celtic language, but it is not 'Celtic' and to call it that is a pretty big mistake seeing how easy it would have been to avoid.
