The one thing I didn't have a problem with...
At the end, when Ana turns good.
I know a lot of the fanboys are probably screaming, "WHAT?! They made one of the villains turn good? You can't do that!!! How messed up is that?!"
To be fair, it's a decent complaint. Imagine if Destro or Cobra Commander turned good. But it actually doesn't bother me, for four reasons:
1) There's already plenty of other things to complain about. I wonder if Stephen Sommers ever issued an apology to the fans.
2) Look at the progression of events. Duke and Ana were in love. When Duke lost her brother in battle, he left, because he thought she hated him for it. But this just broke her heart more. Then Rex, being the genius that he is, brainwashes his is sister to be a bad guy. Why? To take away her pain. That makes sense, right?
Well, whether or not this makes any sense, the logical next step is that Ana tries to wrestle free of the Baroness persona.
3) Turning good didn't take away from her being a badass, warrior woman.
4) They don't just say she's a good guy and "happily ever after!" They still have to keep her in prison. But Duke isn't giving up on her. And you feel genuine hope that Ana will get fixed.
The movie has enough problems, but this is just one less thing to complain about.
Brother Maynard, bring forth the holy hand grenade!
