Hope the sequel was better

I'm usually not too critical on movies, but this one was pretty bad. The comedy they tried to add didn't work. Channing Tatum was just God-awful. As bad as Marlon Wayans was, at lease he had the goofy, comic relief thing to fall back on (even though most of it wasn't funny). The plot was an absolute mess. The whole thing with Rex being the commander was very predictable, and the transition from him being this goody-good, wet-behind-the-ears kid to this evil commander was way too fast and simple to be believable. And when it came to the action sequences, they were a lot of fun at first, but they just all went on too long. They all ended up just being too much. And what's the deal with the Snake Eyes angle? They stop showing his development after his brother killed the master when they were little kids. It was explained he took the vow of silence, but they never explain why he's constantly in this body suit with his face hidden.

Well, I wouldn't expect too much from the sequel. I went to see it and enjoyed it for what it was, but it wasn't a big improvement. I agree with other reactions that state that the sequel got things right that Rise of Cobra got wrong, and got things wrong that Rise of Cobra got right. It's about an even exchange, except that this gives you more as a fan in regards to familiar plots, costumes, and equipment. My main problem with the sequel was the poorly edited action. It was fast and shaky at times, and hard to follow. Rise of Cobra's action is much smoother and easier to watch. Overall, I personally liked the sequel a bit more, if only for the familiarity I mentioned earlier. Both films are rather silly, but I will say that Jonathan Pryce is GREAT as Zartan/President. He is the highlight of the sequel in every way! I missed The Baroness, though!

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
