Reasons that you disliked this film . . .

. . . that are NOT either

(a) that something is different about the characters, the storyline, etc. relative to previous G.I. Joe works/properties,

or

(b) that the film doesn't match something or other regarding what the real world is like

?

I'm just curious what some of the reasons are that folks disliked the film aside from those two categories. Personally, I loved it--even more on my second viewing (which I just had) than the first time around.

A. the characters were completely different from the comic books AND the tv series, the storyline didnt make sense it was every character was totally different and it was just like there was no purpose to why Cobra Commander become the cobra why Destro was working for why Zartan become Zartan,

B. No not really it didnt match anything!

C. there was so much potential and it want to crap since they want there own route and Joey said I want the mask to be like what was in the movie which was completely different from the tv series and the comic books

But every reason you're giving there stems from the two categories I said I was specifically NOT wanting reasons related to!

Oh what?

It seems like you thought I was asking for reasons you dislike the film related to those two things. I'm asking for any reasons NOT related to those two things.

There are so many reasons I hate this film, for one the plot made no sense.the dialogue was terrible, the attempts at humor completely failed, the flashbacks were terrible and ruined what was already a pretty poor movie. And on top of that there was not one original moment in the entire film. Watch this film and count how many sequences were stolen from either James Bond or Star Wars. I would go on but you said not to mention them bastardizing the characters so I can't mention how pissed I was at the way they treated Stormshadow.

They killed Cover Girl at the very beginning! :)

1. Most of the main characters are underwhelming and underwritten.

2. The film lacks a degree of charm; fails at the few tongue "n" cheek moments; and seems to have a grudge against subtlety. It also avoids any social commentary on terrorism, military life, bureaucracy, and the military industrial complex. But nowadays nearly every blockbuster does.

3. Cineplexity.. Duke's ex wife is the Baroness, who is the Doctor's brother and an ex-friend of Duke. She's currentlly

4. Ridiculous plot, even for GI Joe standards. That's including some of the weirder comic book storylines or ... G.I. Joe: the Movie. Yes, even that film was better than the last two films.

5. The film, like some of the newer GI Joe, takes itself too seriously given the goofy premise.

My question, here how come these screenwriters won't modestly plagiarize an old GI Joe comic book or TV episode...be done with it. Instead of more recent action, sci-fi movies.

The terrible editing. Every few minutes the movie jumps to a flashback, we can't get an momentum in the pace of the movie. Uninteresting and almost unrelated flashbacks as well.

All the characters look the same, boring outfits.

START THE REVOLUTION! SHRED THE GOVERNMENT! My favorite movie is V for Vendetta.
