it's is impossible to watch this guy act like the biggest stud in the world with that face. yes his other features are good, but skin quality makes a huge difference when you are making a case for someone being physically beautiful, or playing that type of role. it was definitely a distraction during the movie. while they're at it next time they should just cast drew carey or jon heder or someone else who doesn't fit the part of the stud. save the stud roles for ryan reynolds or ben affleck or paul rudd etc. would have make the "movie" much more enjoyable to watch!
Yeah, but I've seen him so many times and his skin NEVER looked like it did in this movie? I thought they purposely made him look like that for the character?
Really? I thought he looked good. I hope he doesn't get anything done -- he has rugged good looks and not like every other person in hollywood. He's not my favorite (personality-wise) but I like how he looks.
it's called aging. this is what happens as time passes. it's also that much more noticeable when a man who is damn near 40 tries to play someone 10+ years younger.
I know you were trying to be funny, but if you are going to deliver a line, make sure you have your facts straight - Michael Jordan is 6'6 - not 6'3 or 6'4.
If you are going to troll and belittle people, you need to accept that other people might flame you back. I thought his height comment was hilarious....don't be such a downer.
Hah, but this couldnt be said for men. Ahh the double standard. In fact I think Alec Baldwin dismisses a woman in the movie because she has bad skin. Interesting.
Ok, Dane Cook is so confident that even that scarred up face does not make him ugly. I find him very attractive and the face doesn't bother me. I think it has to do with his personality, he's funny, and hyper. I like that.

Nearly every girl I know loves Dane Cook, yet most guys who act like him in normal everyday life and are funny (I've known plenty) girls tend to think are weird or too "random" in a bad way. Now being funny is one thing, but Dane Cook usually takes hyper and obnoxious above anything a girl would usually like from a guy.
Of course it's just an act, so girls swoon over thinking of the situations he puts forth in a funny way. I don't know how confident he is outside of films and his stand-up, so I can't comment. But obviously he carries himself well when in the spotlight...that's part of his job, so I'd hope so. Not to mention he's gotten ripped more recently.
I still don't see how that can get girls to overlook the craters in his face. Now if you'd have said, "I don't think his face is attractive because of the scars, but I can look past them for his other features..." then I'd probably not think otherwise :P

I've got a friend who had a string of car related accidents (3 to be exact), and ended up with a pretty hefty number of stitches in his face (total amount of stitches was around 300), and it *beep* his face up pretty bad. Confidence is sky high though, and he gets around, like...alot.
I got run over last year and needed 20 stitches over my right eye, now i dunno if it's a confidence thing, but i could never interact with them the way i can now. It's weird.
That being said I can't stand Dane Cook, but really I disagree that skin quality will make or break stud status...it's far more about attitude and style...IMO. :)
Who cares that he has acne scars? Obviously it isn't stopping him. And like what other posters have alluded to - his confidence overrules any flaws he may have - which in turn makes him sexy.
There's beauty in what others may consider "ugly" - whether it's scars, baldness, beer belly, hairy chest, big nose, etc.
It's cool he isn't so vain he's getting work done. Plus if he did there would be a thread slingin acid about how vain he is... I think the fact he's not actor perfect works in his favor in relatability. Then again... Who cares
Seriously?! How shallow! I had acne, I have been left with dents in my skin. I am lucky it's not that bad. But do you have any idea how insecure acne scars can make you feel? Leave the guy alone. He is a good looking guy, and funny as hell. If you make a post about being distracted by his acne scars then you are shallow, and god forbid you every get severe acne. Brad Pitt had acne scars and got rid of them with his money. Not all of us have that money. But well done to Dane for not feeling the need to look perfect. Or maybe he has tried and the treatment failed. Perfection is a turn off anyway!
Life is like a movie. Only you can't pick your genre.
