Who can waste their time watching something so incredibly mediocre?

Furthermore, what type of person can have so much money at their disposal and still choose to make something so monumentally mediocre about monumentally mediocre characters? I guess it has its rightful place, being completely and entirely forgotten about 6 years on.

I watched it and really didn’t get all the hype and attention it recieved.

I have the same thoughts for La La Land. Yawn!

both are terrible movies.

I haven't seen LLL but I imagine if people have to actually Sing and Dance, the people involved put a lot of heart into the show. What sorts of garbage turn you on?

So, if something doesn’t include singing and dancing is garbage by your logic?!

And you even haven’t seen it but asume just because I don’t like it that I only like garbage.

Of course they put their heart into the show, but I never said anything against their singing and dancing.

If we’re talking about musicals, I do enjoy some. On top of my head, Chicago I think was very well made and I enjoyed it. And it also did well at the Oscars at the time. They also did their own singing and dancing and I appreciated it.

Evita was also good, I like the songs, but don’t like that much when they sing all the time. Cabaret I loved, and some of those other classics hollywood musicals like Meet me in St.Louis, Singing in the Rain, Genlemen Prefer Blondes.

Apart from musicals which are not my favorite genre, but I do like some. I like all kind of movies. I have a really vast taste, I can watch some old classic hollywood movies, pre-code movies, indie movies, obscure movies, foreign movies to regular hollywood comedies and other crap which doesn’t have to be that well made artistically, but are fun, especially if they are from 80’s and 90’s so it is more for sentimental reason because it reminds me of my childhood. Even some blockbusters.

I really don’t like all the Marvel Hero movies and stuff like that, actually I haven’t even watched most of them if any at all, so can’t really say how good or bad they are, but they just don’t interest me.

Recently I tend to more watch TV shows, because as they say it is a golden age of televison at the moment, there are some really good shows out there.

Directors that I like are Scorsese, Tarantino, Burton, Stone - but mostly their 90s movies and older, I like Fellini and Woody Allen, Godard, Bunuel, Kaurismaki, Bergman, Kurosawa, etc.

What sort of non garbage turns you on? :)

I liked it, mainly because I could relate to the main character with almost everything he went through (except the dancing bit). When they mentioned K-pins at the dinner table I almost fell over laughing.

I appreciated the way the film handled and balanced the character development with the storylines. Most movies favor one over the other, but I think the balance of this movie was perfect.

I watched it a few years ago. You're right. It wasn't very good, and it definitely belongs in obscurity.

reply

I thought it was really good.

I have it on blu ray, I love it.

This movie sucks!

Great movie. Not everyone thinks like you. Different strokes.
