Add to that the fact that it took him the whole movie to realize his wife's not worth his time. Still, it's all about finding the right girl as the movie proved. I'm just saying I wouldn't hesitate to kick a cheater out my door if that happened to me.

You're mentally unstable if you act on it, not for wanting to. A normal person would just want to, but a mentally unstable person would want to and ACT on it without thinking about consequences.

It's called getting angry and snapping.
It's not like the guy took a bite on your sandwich.. or stepped on your foot accidentally.
The guy was screwing your wife.... perfectly understandable for anyone to snap and get angry and act on it.
If he used a chainsaw and decapitate the guy then thats a different story.
