This movie wasn't even released in America until well after Quarantine.

People on this board think Americans never watched this movie because of the subtitles. Most Americans never even heard of this movie until after Quarantine came out. Quarantine itself didn't even mention that it was a remake. So most Americans have never even heard of this movie. No need to be pompous and act like you're all cultured or whatever you like to think about yourself.

Yes there is! If theatres turn down a movie assuming no one will watch it then only show the movie after showing the remake then there is even more reason to be pompous. If theatres in my country picked and chose which non-British films to show me, effectively censoring 200 other nations I'd be annoyed as *beep* and demand that they remember that the UK is a democracy.

Thankfully I'm lucky that British theatres will show just about anything, unlike theatres in North Korea or the USA.
