Did you like Angela?

At first I thought she was a bit heartless, the way she yelled at Pablo and seemed to just care about the story, but then she seemed to be genuinly worried about people she'd only just met and didn't want anyone to be hurt who didn't need to be, and at the start she seemed sweet and fun :)

How do you know if you're happy or sad without a mask, or angry...or ready for dessert

reply

I think she was bossy & super sexy!

reply

I think she did a good job acting, didn't really like her character overall, too excitable but it's realistic I guess.

During the last scene, when she was crawling to the camera, all I thought was "squish" "squish" "squish".

reply

Yes, even though I like Jennifer Carpenter as an actress, I thought the American version of her character was poorly-written. Angela was much better developed, and more of a fighter.

I love to love my Lisa.

reply

It doesn't really matter if people love or hate Angela. What makes Rec so scary is that Angela seems very real.

This isn't a dig at Hollywood, but many American horrors try too hard to make the lead girl 'likeable', whereas European films (Rec, Creep) focus on making the situation more real.

reply

She didn't come across as real at all. Bad acting and tried to imitate Hollywood's idea of reporters.

reply

compared to the origional?? where she just screamed "keep filming, people have to see this" and "What is hapening" every 2nd line??? yess what a fighter as she ran away and screamed the other half of the lines..

What a well written character. soo deep. what character revelation

ya i loved how she screamed non stop in that super annoying pitch.. it made the movie awesome.. I also love how unreasonable every single person was and the lack of any logics (To the police officer they said) "You know what is going on tell us!!!!" (Ya because he chose to get quarantined with all you retards for *beep* and giggles. all cops have telepathic abilities.) i loved how they nonstop repeat "we have to keep filming and show what is happeneing!!" i wish they had a real script writer

reply

I wanted to *beep* smack her. She was so over the top and annoying, ugh.

It might have been interesting to listen to the Spanish language version of her instead of the American dubbed. I wasn't crazy about the dub -- she sounded like a college girl doing a class project instead of a professional hostess of a late night television program. Perhaps she comes off better in Spanish.

reply

I watched the spanish one with english subtitles (although i understand spanish). Still hated her

reply

she doesn't. I hated her in Spanish
