Just 10mins ago I finished watching, thought it was really good but...!?! There was only 1 real flashback..and it didnt particularly display the friendship between Boots and Joe..? Why wasnt there a meaningful ending with Joe and one what made the song reminder make Ruth cry??

i think joe's letter just brought up and released a lot of emotions. the loss of her husband and joe was just a lot to handle and she finally broke.
