Covering the face to avoid bullets...

shareYa face would be so bruised and pulpy you'd look like a stack of watermelons sat on by an elephant. To say nothing of how shot to hell your hand would be.
shareSuspension of disbelief applies to almost everything they release.
They should at least add the genre “fantasy” by default to 99% of their shows/films.
It’s so COOL! Love that aspect. Oh? Well the suits John and the other assassins wear are designed to be bulletproof (yup, they are), so of course they’re gonna shield themselves that way — as they should.
Still requires a lot of suspension of disbelief? Cool.
These whole films require a lot of 'suspension of disbelief'. JW is like Batman; 'normal human' that IRL most of these feats would maim - or kill - instantly, helped by some cool toys. Wick's special jacket (that we have seen before) absorbed the impact of the bullets. Kinda like Batman's cape in The Flash during the Supergirl rescue.
