A lot of suspension of disbelief is needed for people over 25 (spoilers)

When Marquis blew up the New York continental given notice only of an hour, I was like, what?!

You need city permit for that, and need to apply months ago, the block need to be cleared and the traffic needs to be redirected. Also such a controlled demolition is complicated, it definitely requires more than an hour to lay the explosive charges, otherwise it is a terrorist act.

Also the building should be worth like hundreds of millions.

There is a huge amount of suspension of disbelief required to enjoy this movie. That was at least one eye-roller. To make this work, we'll just assume they had the political clout to let that happen, without the movie showing us. Because, like, the Table and the Marquis, like, have people working for them everywhere, like in every government, and in every department, even the janitors, and they, like, control the whole world and stuff. Dude. I can totally believe it.

That scene was a mess, not believable and worst of all, not necessary. The building being destroyed contributed nothing to the plot. I thought the whole thing was a bit clumsy. And now they're just gonna rebuild it? Winston will be dead of old age before it's completed.
