Shooting started

Shooting started on 31 October 2016 at 14:00 in Varese for "Suspiria" by Luca Guadagnino, the eponymous remake Dario Argento came out in 1977.

Filming takes place at the hotel Campo dei Fiori, a landmark Art hotel built by the architect Sommaruga closed for some years and which for the occasion has been restored in the essential parts. The film is set in Berlin in 1977, in the hotel park they've rebuilt the Berlin Wall in props. The headquarters of the production company Frenesy is in the Varese Chamber of Commerce in Piazza Monte Grappa. The costume department was set up in an adjacent street, in the former headquarters of a local newspaper. The costumes are strict style seventies.
