Game over, man.

This is depressing news.

Fox axed this brilliant series because, despite it was streaming very well , the premiere ratings were not high enough for them.

Now we have to hear HBO is not interested because they have NO SPACE .. what poppycock reason is that?

All my thanks go to creators Chris Fedak and Sam Sklaver who , despite this devastating blow, continue their search for a network that will pick up this amazing series.

They have the third season already written up.

Fans need/want to know how Malcolm deals with what happened between him and his father in the season’s finale.

I just read that Netflix is going to be streaming season 8 of The Blacklist as soon as it finishes .. I was a big fan of that series .. but the writers just stretched it far too long.

James Spader is great in the part but by the end of season 6, I was done waiting for the big revelation : who is Red ?

Prodigal Son in my opinion is as engaging as The Blacklist ( actually more) , it doesn’t deserve to end on a cliffhanger .. it deserves a final season to see where Malcolm’s journey ends : in the light or in the dark.

The petition is going well .

That’s another reason I cancelled HBOMax.

@ to SteveG

I can understand your frustration

That’s what Fox deserves too.

it was the first to betray ....fancy not renewing a brilliant series like Prodigal Son for a third season.

There are so many engaging dynamics beside the one between Martin and Malcolm

..like Gil as a loving, worried father figure

Dani caring for Malcolm, she’s alway ready to lead an ear, offer good advice .. believe in him.

Edrisa’s crunch on Malcolm is so sweet... love Malcolm for not “objecting” ... i enjoy their common enthusiasm when they talk over how the victim died etc

There are so many engaging elements to this series.

The wait is agonising so I have been reading some fanfic stories mainly focused on Malcolm and Gil’s bond...

..one writer imagined what happened directly after Malcolm stabbed his father ..it describes how he is in total shock and how Gil opens his arms to comfort him, ensuring him it will be all okay.

The petition is going well but it’s been over a week since HBO declined .. the writers are still searching for a network to pick up the show .. it hurts ( and it’s a crime) to know the storyline for season 3 is READY but no one seems excited to produce it.
