British accents?

I dont get at the end how the Vesevius or however you spell it was speaking in English accents at the end. How was that funny and what were they referring to?

reply

I think the whole point was they were a bunch of poseurs (posers) & phonies, trying to pass themselves off as British rock legends, which setup their downfall with the lip-syncing.

reply

It may be reference to how classic rock bands come from England and that Vesuvius has become a band of posers. But, it's not an original joke and not that funny.

Reminded me a little of Spinal Tap so maybe a reference to that? American actors putting on English accents?

Yea, Or those Bozo's in Green Day.

Yup, definitely a reference to Green Day. Most British acts don't actually sound British when singing.

But, Green Day is definitely an American act that does sound British.
