Vesuvius

i have their 2 songs from off itunes and i also have promised land for rock band. my god, i wish this band were real. they are friggin awesome. does anyone know who wrote and who sung those songs? for some reason, it sounds like the guy from ac/dc to me, just more hair metally. they are awesome though.

p.s. they should tour and put out a whole album. i think its pretty gay that teddy gayger is on like half the soundtrack of this awesome movie.

My friend and I have been asking a similar question. We were both introduced to Vesuvius from Rock Band's Promised Land. It has a great classic rock feel to the music. We posited that the singer sounds like Brian Johnson (AC/DC) but seemed unlikely.

I've searched the Internet trying to find out who is actually performing the song and have come up empty handed. After watching the movie - which I thought was quite entertaining as a whole and had some really funny moments - I made it a point to find out, via the credits, who performed Promised Land. Sadly it has writers, but no performers.

Does anyone know who Vesuvius actually is?

The writer and performer are the same...it's in the credits and in the special features of the DVD.

The singer is Keith England and the songs were written by Chad Fisher,Tim Bright, and Chris Link. Chad Fisher is best known for fronting the band Lazlo Bane who recorded, among others, the theme song from the TV show Scrubs.

None of the actors in the film (Will Arnett, Fred Armisen, or Bradley Cooper) did any playing or singing.

it sounds like practically every classic rock singer that has ever lived.

Classic rock? Maybe hair metal but there wasn't anything classic rock about it. I actually thought it reeked of Spinal Tap.
