I thought the same at first, just going off ADD's music. But Curtis is a pretty dark person, and that fits a Slipknot fan, the stereotype anyway.

I know pleanty of Slipknot fans and for the most part they are pretty calm and cool to be around I guess the director just decided to put Curtis in all black attire and have him fit the stereotype of "Dark" lead singer, who wears Slipknot.
