When they are caught lip synching, is it still them singing on the record, or is it like a Milli Vanilli thing where they were never singing or playing any instruments at all?
shareI think they were lip syncing to their record. I think it was trying to show how the rockstar lifestyle took a toll on them. That they couldn't even really sober up enough to play the songs they recorded. So, the crew/promoters had them fake it.
shareI doubt it was someone else playing the songs, Fish would have caught onto that and probably would have said something about it.
It was probably more like they simply played a recording of them performing in their studio. Basically, they pulled an Ashlee Simpson (as was pointed out).
