Non-delayed, real time virtual network?

Is such a thing possible? Could a band with the required know how, usb interfaces, mics etc. actually practice in this way? It would be very useful to bands who couldn't rehearse in person as often as they would like because of personal commitments such as kids etc.

You would need a bigger pipe than a cable modem. Maybe a non-partitioned T3 or something?

No way could it work. You would need to add the delay in somehow for it to sync up. A silly idea in a silly movie
