Why did their name change for about 30 seconds?

Does anyone know why, when the band arrives at their first gig for soundcheck the marquee says "A.D." and then they are announced as "A.D." by the bar's MC, then they go back to their proper name for the rest of the movie?

Was their name originally going to be "A.D" but got changed after that scene was filmed or something?

Very odd.

Yeah they didn't pull it off very well, but it was just the old joke about how they're such nothings the venue doesn't even get their name right, but they're so excited to be there they don't really care.
