FATMAN delivers the perfect mixture of humor, drama, action and violence. Thanks to the great job of the Nelms brothers and the perfect cast, FATMAN is likely to become another 'christmas classic' like Die Hard.
I can understand it getting low scores from the movie itself. It was far from a perfect movie and seemed rather cheap in some ways. Gibson wasn't a problem in the movie and fit perfectly... now the script and what it had Gibson doing especially at the very end just made no sense. Frankly it was as if two different people were writing the script and they two writers never spoke to each other or read what the other was writing because there are some gear shifts in the characters that don't make sense and are never explained. I liked the premise of the show, but the execution was weak and the weakness wasn't the fault of the actor it was the fault of the writers.
Not a hater of Gibson. But this thing just didn't have any direction. It was like someone got stoned and came up with an idea.
Literally nothing like Die Hard. More like Try Hard.
When I first read the synapse of it, I expected a hard core santa being bad ass and all that, but... nothing jived. Gratuitous murder whilst elves made military devices? But none of the air of what should have been... ahhh.. est quod est, sadly...
my 2 cents, and that's 2 cents more than I would spend on this...
I expected more action too, but turns out it's only got a $20 million budget. Gotta have a lot more talky scenes when there's so little money to spend. I wonder how much of that went to Gibson and Goggins.
