Flashes of Brilliance

“Now the interesting thing about the film is that pretty much every moment that Michael Douglas is on screen it’s interesting. He is a great screen presence. He is a commanding screen presence.” “And every moment that Michael Douglas isn’t on screen the whole thing goes flat. And there are long sections of it in which he’s not on screen. It’s not terrible and there are flashes of what made Wall Street the film it was.” - Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps reviewed by Mark Kermode

I mostly agree with that statement. The story should've centered more around Gekko

That sums up how I feel about this film too. The scene where he gave his book speech was fantastic
