Bread and fries....

Have you ever tried it after watching the movie?
I have, first I thought it was gross but then I loved it!

I'm from England so i've grown up eating chip butties.
My friend who was a chef at the Bay Hotel, Robin Hoods Bay where that scene was shot, said he actually made the chips they used for that scene.

Yep, also English so I'd had a chip buttie long before this film. They're the kind of thing you make when you've been really busy all day & haven't got much food in the house.

Yep I'm Australian and we do chips in bread all the time. Even cafes and take-away shop have chips & gravy in bread rolls on their menus.

But for something really special, if you get the chance, try chicken potato chips/crisps in a buttered bread roll. Soooo good!

I'm from Hungary and yes it's a thing. It is not super common but some people do love the flavour combination with fries + fresh baked bread.

It's not that it really looks disgusting, it just looks really bland. Bread and potatoes. Not sure if that was butter or mayo on the bread, but it looks like a pretty bland sandwich.

The chip buttie fuelled the British Empire when it took over the world.

Chip butties are the reason everyone here speaks English.

Mayo!? 😷
