Super unrealistic. This guy gets a few weeks of training and he's an expert at submissions and can put arm/leg submissions easily on mma fighters that have been doing this their whole lives.
Again, enjoyed it, but that was far fetched and a slap in the face to any real mma fighters who watched.
yeah it is practically imposible, they did the same as in karate kid but I actually think is more realistic than karate kid because Jake had experience in fights and I think he used to box (by the way he fights in the party) while Daniel had zero experience fighting only few lessons in a *beep* karate school, and also I think Jake trained for more than 2 months not few weeks... still pretty unrealistic
I can't buy it either but the best argument I can make for it is Roca had a unique teaching style. Remember he didn't want his students to compete or fight outside the gym and in the movie he is held in high regard as a mma fighter. Add that to the fact that jake was training maybe 6 days a week.
