This was a decent movie to watch and obviously it's not Fight Club or something like that. But it felt like the fight scenes in this was planned first before the actual story. The only good thing about this movie is some decent fight scenes and character development, the story and overall plot lets it down.

Jake disrespects his teacher and storms out then gets in a fight with some guys and uses the moves he learns from his teacher and then his buddy records it all and Jake's is completely fine with this, knowing his teacher will kick him out? Then he's all begging to be back? Not one emotional scene, but two! Some serious inconsistencies with the whole story/plot here.

Then finally after the very bitter hatred against each other, Ryan nods to Jake after the final fight? This really felt out of place.

This could have been a decent movie if the story was better.

I agree, the curly fat punk was extremely obnoxious with recording all the time and bro-fists all the time.

Something interesting that was left out of the film that made sense to your comment on the nod Ryan gives to Jake.There was a deleted scene that was cut right after Jake knocked down Ryan and won the fight.He got up and went over to him and Jake says do you really wanna keep doing this?They just want us to kill each other,they don't care who wins.The director decided to leave the scene out.But here is a link if you wanna see it.It actually does explain the nod Ryan gives to Jake at the end of the film.
