this show is crap, when he went to Hackneys..

i live in the chicago suburbs, and i live right by Hackneys (the burger place he went to in glenview, Il) anyway when they showed "the diner" they actually showed the back of the restruaant. Hackneys is a very nice restuant and the exterior looks like a huge, white colonial house. It is very good there though. sorry, it just bothered me that they played it off as a diner or whatever when it is a very nice and respected restuarant

I'll agree that the show is crap, but not that Glenview is "the rich Chicago suburbs", its not close enough to the lake. Evanston (parts of it - especially along Sheridan Road), Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka and Glencoe, but not Glenview. Nice houses there certainly - but not like anything on the shore.

It's probably a lawyer thing. When they film DDD, the restaurant has a sign at the entrance proclaiming that they're filming a TV show and if you enter, you agree that DDD can film you and use your likeness in perpetuity.

Whenever Guy shoots outside a restaurant, he's almost always the only person in the shot. That way, they don't have to get permission from anyone passing by. If the front parking lot is crowded with cars and people, it would be easier to shoot the exterior from the back where there are no cars or people.

I've seen TV shows before where a random crowd member's face is blocked out. That's the sort of thing you have to do when some pain in the butt tells you after the fact that you don't have their permission to put their face on your show.

Nothing coming after this sentence matters. Fail.
