Why the multiple weekly airings of this show?

DDD episodes air different times of the week, but currently on Monday and Friday nights it runs for hours all evening long. It's an interesting program and Guy Fieri is a charming host, but for me it's become way too overkill. It's funny how other winners of The Next Food Network Star have gotten only ONE show a piece, and then most of those seem to come and go, while Fieri gets show after show (ie., DDD and Big Bite, and then seasonal ones such as Celebrity Cook-off, Ultimate Recipe, and some kind of tailgate-themed one to name a few).

My guess it has to do with ratings. They are maybe the show that performs the best on the food network so they plaster it all over the place.

I mean some shows should not even be on the air. Imaginre the headaches if that channel was a real 24 hours channel.

Guy looks like an older bart simpson!

Be glad that you're not in the UK or Ireland. I'm watching Sky network right now, and on the Food Network UK, they air Guy Fieri shows such as Diners Drive-ins and Dives, and Guy's Grocery games for two to three hours (mostly DDD), EVERY NIGHT!

It really feels like Guy is to the UK, what Gordon Ramsey is to America. Look how many of Ramsey's shows are on BBCA DAILY, and that is about how much Guy Fieri is on Food Network UK.

They do that now in the U.S.
