vegas episode: guy is surprised bulgarians speak english?
he's really shocked by this.

I don't think it was that they spoke English. I think he didn't expect them to because he didn't realize they had been in the states for as long as they had been. Also, the fight between the father and daughter was in Bulgarian...so for them to just switch to English was surprising.

That whole bit was scripted for entertainment. Father and daughter are gonna have a fight bout giving away secret family recipe when cameras are rolling?
To get on this show. You need to apply and get screened. You also need to pay food network a lot of money just to come out. They're paying for the exposure and publicity. So even when food tastes like crap, guy has to say, "off the hook."
I used to think show was legit. I ate at one of the restaurants. Food was horrible and service as well.
