It didn't work because.... (serious spoiler within)

....I knew it wasn't Bill Moseley.

All I have to ask is who cast Bill Moseley? Was it Sue Brouse, Judy Lee or Michelle Morris? Whoever it was completely ruined the movie. Having seen a number of movies with Bill Moseley in, I know his voice. Knowing that they were not torturing Bill Moseley made it completely obvious that they had got the wrong guy. Epic fail.

sorry dude but it worked for me, great movie, should of been shown at the flicks.

reply

Don't get me wrong as I thought it was a good movie, but knowing that they had the wrong guy pretty much spoilt it for me.

I agree. Any serious horror fan would know that was not Bill Moseley on the table. You are then left waiting for the leads to discover what you've known all along and it isn't that rewarding.

I do know someone who saw the movie who does not normally watch horror movies though and she thought it was a brilliant twist. I can understand her not knowing who Bill Moseley is, but even an observant viewer would surely recognise that it was a different person with a different voice on the table? You do see Bill at the start and his voice is so distinctive. I know the other guy looked similar but they should have cast an unknown.

It's a shame, as this had the potential to be a truly shocking film that would have been remembered for its classic twist. I'm willing to bet this is one of the reasons it went DTV.

reply

I thought that it didnt look like him but I guessed they just had a body double for some reason.

But then it turned out that it actually wasnt him.
That must have been the worst ending ever.

reply

Yes, I totally agree with you.

But imagine how it would be if Charlie Sheen would have starred as the pedophile, as he was originally going to do. Everyone would have noticed that they had the wrong guy if that would have happened.

I mean, why didn't they just cast someone that no one knows?

reply

they should've had his face messed up in the crash or something, because the audience could tell and i also find it VERY hard to believe the parents wouldn't know the face of their son's killer - it would be forever branded on the inside of your eyelids..

this film was really an interesting idea executed poorly..

Well I have just finished watching it and I was like OMFG nooooooooooooooo you idiots!
I watch lots of horror and know Moseley and even I was fooled if thats what you call it because I did not see that coming. I admit there was a moment when he got loose and I wondered why on earth he didn't hurry up and get out and then yes I noticed what looked like paper in his hands and I thought wtf is that what is he doing? but I still didn't see it coming! I was like hurry up and track that *beep* down and finish him before the cops get to him LOL

Awesome, awesome movie and yes should have been at the cinemas!!

reply

Yup, totally agree. Still liked the movie overall, but to have the twist spoiled so needlessly like that, what a waste.

reply

I loled hard in the end!
But, why ,if they had the wrong guy, did he write that note saying he deserved to die?
