Remake of 'Seven Days'

I'm surprised that nobody has picked up on this being a rehash of the French film "Seven Days".

Yes!

But not exactly.

On one of the dozens of wrinkled up cheeseburger wrappers in the garbage of a Hardees lay the plot of this film scribbled out. The ten man Saw Squad contrived a possible 20 plus sequels in four hours totaling about 80 plus torture scenarios with mini-plots like the one in this film. This was a casualty and the cream made it to the theater.

That garbage is public domain.

It is possible two different film studios found the plot outline, read it then discarded it as garbage again, only to be picked up again.

Seen much worse though. These were good ones.

This script was written before Seven Days.

Well I'm sorry but the French Canadian film "Les 7 jours du Talion" (aka "Seven Days") is an adaptation from the book of the same name that came out in 2002. It was written by Patrick Senécal, a well known writer here. The movies "Sur le seuil" and "5150 rue des Ormes" are also adaptations from his books.

All that to say that I really doubt your "script" was written before 2002.
I've seen both films, read the book, and it is clearly a rip off as too much things are waaaay too similar.
