It's a French film that deals with exact same plot. Except the torture is just being done by the father w no help from his wife at all
The Tortured and 7 Days were both released in 2010 too.

I never watch French movies with subtitles, but there is one exception. I started watching "13 in the middle and got hooked, so I found it was playing as a repeat and DVRed it and watched it from the beginning. That is the only movie I ever watched with subs and I have to admit it was worth watching.
I don't know about the French version but I have to admit this movie held my interest right till the end

I don't care for movies w subtitles either but I do like movies that deal w the revenge genre so I was recommended to watch 7 Days. It was a good movie and Bettervthan The Tortured IMO because it seemed to be more serious. The Tortured was almost cartoonish but I did enjoy it

I love foreign Horror, but I saw 7 days before I saw this and didn't care for it at all.
It was just glorified Torture porn. If you're going to go that route you really better have something* new and good to bring to the table which 7 days totally did not have IMO. Just more of the same.. Revenge and torture..
The Tortured had a great twist at the end that did bring something to the table. The twist, although I kind of had a feeling it was coming, actually redeemed what would've been another run of the mill 7 days type revenge torture porn film.
Something the world already has way too much of.
