Way better but much harder to watch. As long as you don't mind subtitles or can speak French!
I haven't seen The Tortured yet, I've just stumbled onto it today. But I do recommend the other movie, Les 7 jours du talion.

Seven Days, everytime!
Far more realistic, chilling and ultimately a highly moral film with something serious to say about punishment and vengeance. the Tortured was a pale soap opera version of the same story, with surely the most ludicrous "twist" ending in the history of cinema! No comparison.
