What would you do?
Due to my pesky mirror neurons, I'm always asking this question to myself during movies such as these. I guess that's part of the fun.
Seeing that I stink at riddles, attempting to solve puzzles to get myself out of that situation seems a lost cause.
I think the first thing I'd do, then, is head toward the door that we entered from and see if maybe I could pry that open somehow. I'd probably put special focus on the doorknob. Maybe check to see if there were any exposed screws which I could take out (unlikely, but even if that were the case, I'd need a knife or a screwdriver to turn them). If not, I'd likely just start trying to kick the knob off. I could see myself spending a lot of time on that.
If that was a no-go, I may check the walls beside the door. Since that's the area we entered in from, I've already seen that it's only about a foot (at most) to break through. Whether or not that's possible, however, depends on what type of material the wall is made of and what tools are available in the room. But I know that at least in that one spot, freedom is only a foot away. So I'd certainly focus on that area a bit. I seem to reacall a lamp being there, as well. If so, I may try tearing that off the wall as a starting point to dig a hole.
After failing at this, I believe my next act would be to check out the ceiling. It's not pressing down on us, so it may be a vulnerable spot. I'd probably drag the table over, climb on it, and tear down the ceiling fan. That should expose a hole where it hooks up at. That would be my starting point for trying to dig/tear my way out. I'm not quite sure what I'd use to dig with. I'd have to have a look around. But if I couldn't find anything better, I may try to use a piece of one of the lamps. I seem to remember them looking a bit sturdy.
Or perhaps I could find a sturdy piece from the furniture (preferably something metal, if it's there) and wedge it between a wall that's pressing in and the ceiling/door; in hopes that the pressure from the wall will push the piece of furniture in through the areas I was trying to dig through manually.
If this didn't work, I'd probably just scream a lot until I'm squished to death.
How about you?
