Question about the plot/ending (spoilers)

I'm sure somebody here has already asked this, but I can't find it anywhere.

If Hilbert really wanted to save his life and kill the others in the room, HOW would he have done this? My point is: breaking that chalkboard and escaping in front of their eyes would have drawn too much attention.

And they did say he was the only one of their scientist pseodonims who would make it into his eighties, didn't they? So he planned to live happily ever after, I guess. Bow how?

What was his plan, suggestions?

Well, if he were the first one out, I suppose he could have prevented the others from escaping by locking the dumbwaiter behind him somehow....

My guess is that he might have been planning to knock them out or something. But Zero_Wolf has a good suggestion, too.

Banana: A yellow fruit. Also, a kind of pudding. A delicious pudding.

He intentionally gave them some clues. I think ideally, his plan was to let them know before their deaths that they had clues, and were they "better mathematicians", they would have escsaped.
