Hilbert's homocidal inclinations wouldn't make Galois any less of a liar.
I think scientists are mostly ethical people. And stealing others' work is unethical whatever they are.
shareI think it was stupid the throw away the proof. Saying that Hilbert would "win" if he got published is not relevant. He FOUND the proof after 35 years work and deserves the credit. He died for being evil. I think that is enough punishment.
