Actually, better than expected.

It wasn’t great by any means, but certainly not as bad as I imagined it would be.

I liked it overall. Nice fluff, funny with a very likeable kid/adult leads, enjoyable and with some nice action.

I don't think the villainesses were a success, though. They just didn't work.

It’s clearly aimed at a younger audience, which is no criticism; basically good family fun.

I actually liked it, it's for kids and it's featuring kids, which I think is a much needed addition to the whole superhero cinematic universe. There's an element of fun that kids bring to the genre that needs to be there for brevity and to remind people this is a genre meant to empower kids, and Shazam! brings that in a way none of the others do.
