I felt there was more realism in Renfield especially the Nic Cage Dracula voice

What an ignorant statement. James McCune Smith was the first African American to earn a medical degree (University of Glasgow in Glasgow, Scotland). He died November 17, 1865. The movie takes place in the 1890's.

Realism in Renfield? hah that must be a joke right? I doubt this film was made to be realistic in any way. It was a comedy and I doubt was made to be taken seriously. It certainly wasn't a true horror film.
